[All potato shares are sold and check is on the way to Bangor library.]

Marlin Strand is growing Maine Katahdin potatoes in his Gaithersburg garden so that the band can acquire the charts for marches composed by George E. Jennings, a talented Maine composer of small fame but great reputation. Please read Marlin’s newsletter article for the background to this project. You can contribute by reserving shares of Marlin’s potato harvest (The tubers will be available in the Fall, close to our first rehearsal). Marlin estimates that each $10 share will yield 3 lbs of Katahdin potatoes. Contact Marlin to reserve your shares or simply print out and sign a coupon at rehearsal or at one of the upcoming events and hand it to him.
